Maremagnum

Mercat dels Encants

Second-hand furniture, books, records, clothes… but also novelties in lighting, taps or small electrical appliances fill the stands of this bargain market sheltered under a giant pergola made of aluminum and zinc, in an area with different levels and direct contact to the outside where there is also an interesting gastronomic supply.
Mercat de Santa Caterina

Easily recognizable by its colourful waving roof, it’s a modern market with food stands and restaurants after the remodelling of the previous building. It’s located in the space that had occupied the convent with the same name (remains are preserved at one end).
Mercat de la Boqueria

It’s the oldest food market in Barcelona and, although nowadays most of the stops offer juices and take-away food for tourists, many neighbours continue shopping here for the quality of their products.
Mercat de Sant Antoni

The Mercat de Sant Antoni, a wrought-iron building from 1882 under which Roman remains have been found, is under construction but, despite this, it’s still the neuralgic centre of the neighbourhood, more and more popular among Barcelonian people due to its gastronomic offer and its long-life neighbourhood air.
