Built during six centuries on the foundations of the early Paleochristian (4th century) and the Roman (11th century) basilicas, the Cathedral is a reflection of the passing of time. Mainly Gothic style, it has a Latin cross plan, rib vaults, beautiful stained-glass and a pretty cloister.
