Eixample - Sant Martí

This area stands out for its architectural variety. Barcelona left its walls at the end of the 19th century and that is why in the Eixample there are modernist jewels such as the Sagrada Família and the Hospital de Sant Pau. On the other hand, around the Plaça de les Glòries, in constant transformation and very close to the new 22@ district – where innovative companies, universities and other research centres coexist-, avant-garde buildings are erected and many of them stand out for their originality. The Torre Agbar is its greatest exponent but not the only one.
